It's 142 Days Until My Birthday! Yay!

I have NEWS! So the principal of a well to do school (SJC) called my phone yesterday! Yay! I'm wondering WHY though? Am I to teach there this upcoming semester? Am I to interview there this week to SEE if I could teach there this semester? I'm not sure. I missed the call. I reverse searched the number, and found the person on LinkedIn. It said that they were the principal of that school. So I'm going with that.

But I wonder, "Why call me on a Saturday? Why not call on a weekday? Why call at night? Why not let the ministry call first?" It's odd. I hope it wasn't something inappropriate like persons thought I had tickets to the state show (again, I don't have tickets to the state show.) and wanted entry, or a higher access to the show for free. I hope it wasn't anything like that where persons wanted to leverage their position at a school and my possible working there to get into the state show. I hope not. In any case, I'll hope that things go through the proper channels, that I'd get an email from the ministry, or a call from the ministry, or an official letter from the ministry informing me of the next steps (during work hours on a work day) to know how to proceed as things have been normally going. I'll wait to see what happens this week. This may be a week of changes for sure.

It's 142 Days Until My Birthday. I'm still happy.

On we go.

  1. The person called at 7PM. On a Saturday. 7PM? No. That’s not appropriate. Even if you wanted to meet with me on Monday for a meeting, you should have called on Friday during business hours, not 7PM on a Saturday. That seems sus.
