Back in the day, I could just look at the profiles of certain accounts and that would be enough. I didn't have a feed, or have to log in, no ability to comment, etc. BUt since ownership has changed, I had to make a profile, which has slowly morphed into me having a full on account, commenting, scrolling for hours etc. It's a massive time suck. Is there a way to just be a passive viewer again from time to time? Or an alternate way to get the same info? I set up an RSS reader but it's still new to me. I want to deactivate my X account, but don't want to completely shut myself off. For example, I want to still check in on election nights or if a war breaks out (I hate mainstream news even more), but the daily grind of following all this stuff is draining and unproductive. Any ideas? Thanks.
