Aith for cutting off my neighbors who is son is friend of my daughter

Me (36f) which I habe a daughter who is 4 years old. Since moving into our complex I have been much of a neighbor I can. I found out the neighbor upstairs of me has a son who is 2 years old. I know it’s important for children to socialize and have friends. I became friends with this family. Things started out great!

My daughter learned how to play and share with him. They would dance together. Plus, her friend was only upstairs. I would take them to the mountains, museums, and parks at my own expense. I’m a firm believer if I invite someone out. I pay for everything. I even would make my house spotless, so the children could play inside. When it is was my dog birthday I bought dog pizza and cake to them for their dog. Don’t get me wrong I do appreciate they invite our family over for dinner.

Recently, I got attacked within our complex. Thankfully my daughter is ok, but I suffer extreme body pain and went to the ER 4 times. I wasn’t able to take the children out anywhere. I couldn’t even bathe myself where my spouse had to help me. Due to the pain I was in. I couldn’t even tidy my house. The last time I went to the ER I asked for a favor if she could watch my daughter. Unfortunately, being unemployed I couldn’t pay her because the health state I was in. I was so thankful because my daughter mental state matters a lot to me.

Well…They ended up having a fight where my other neighbor had to call the cops. He helps firefighters for a living and when he heard that she got hit. He called. She fled to Texas and her husband was hardcore questioning me if I called the cops. Along with the other neighbors. She came back a month later. Things haven’t been the same…I don’t know because the cops being called or because I have no money to take the children and her out. Or, I am in too much pain to tidy my house.

My spouse did something stupid where it left a mess at the front of our apartment. I’m not going to lie, I was upset too because I don’t want the children getting hurt. I message him to get the full story. Suddenly, her attitude change. She’s hovering over me, lecturing me about the mess, and telling me how to clean it. I get so upset that I dropped everything and told my spouse that he needs to clean it up because she’s being too much. I’m trying to get my daughter inside cause it’s bed time. She continues to grill me for 20 minutes more. “I don’t care if you a friend, family member, or someone close to me. You put my child in danger! I cut off all ties!” I am stunned. She continues to tell me how to manage my relationships “I don’t want to get in between your relationship, but you need to do this and this. It’s unacceptable! If I don’t fix it. We will report you to the office.” I’m trying to get my daughter in the house and she’s following me. I actually had to yell at my daughter to get in to let this woman get away from us. I’m done listening to her. My spouse actually message her and apologized for the mess he created. He and 3 other neighbors cleaned up the area. Alright, Gucci. It is resolved and we took accountability then all neighbors cleaned up.

This afternoon, I’m chilling on the stairs with one of the neighbors. We’re sitting in the shade portion of the stairs cause the sun is hot. Talking and smoking. Suddenly, her husband comes out and starts being aggressive. Telling us that we are keeping his family inside the house and they can’t leave because all we do is hang out on the stairs. He’s trying to be an adult, but threaten us that he will yell at us again. (Mind you this man had busted in my neighbor door and drunk yelled at him to stfu). I told him that I’m sorry and my neighbor also apologize, we are more than welcome to go smoke on my patio. We will keep it down for his son. “That’s not the point!” He is trying to argue with me. We both stayed silent cause we know he wants to fight. He hit his wife, so we know he’s unpredictable. Then, he continues to threaten to report me. All we could say was “sorry.”

At that point, we both get up and go to my patio. He didn’t want me telling my spouse, but I told him because I didn’t want him getting yelled at for smoking on the stairs. My spouse cut them all of all our streaming networks. We had a group meeting with the 3 neighbors in our building unit. We gather our resources just in case they threaten me again. For some odd reason, they only threaten me after I got attacked in the complex. So yes, I’m scared they are trying to take the roof over my daughter head.

We all decided to leave this family alone because they must have deeper issues within their household. Where her husband is getting comfortable getting aggressive towards me. My daughter is good friends with their son, but I don’t know how to break the news. I feel like a AH taking away a friend, but just like this mother said “I don’t care if you’re a friend, family member, or close to me. If my son is in danger! I will cut off all ties!” I’m sitting here thinking…”well…she’s going to eat her own words.” I feel like a horrible human being on how this is going to affect my daughter.
