MASSIVE FLOODS HAMMER HONOLULU, DISPLACE THOUSANDS

A powerful storm brought heavy rainfall to the Pacific island state on November 28, resulting in torrential floods and landslides that have left hundreds of homes inundated.

According to authorities, a record-breaking 1028.07 millimeters of rain fell on the state capital, Honolulu, making it the highest 24-hour rainfall total ever recorded in the area.

Thousands of residents are believed to be displaced, with entire neighborhoods underwater. Emergency responders are working to evacuate trapped residents and restore power.

"It’s an unprecedented situation," said Mayor Rick Blangiardi in a press conference. "We will do everything in our power to support affected residents and rebuild our city."

Bad news for lovers of this series: A game I'm playing (Legend of Mushroom) is hosting an event where people can submit designs for Pals, and I'm participating! Which means drawing my submissions has taken precedence over finishing this, and it might be a couple of days before I even sketch Nokotan.

Because of this, tomorrow's post might just be the reveal of who is in the Honorable Mention's variant, and if it takes too long (which it shouldn't) then I'll try and hold you guys over with shitposts.

Anyways, The Krusty Krab wins for the background. Obviously I'm not just going to rip it straight from the show and say I'm done, it's just a placeholder for when I draw it properly. As for why Magikarp kept the tank? Well, there's glasses of water under water in SpongeBob so it just makes sense imo
