  1. Review, Review, Review: Familiarize yourself with Kellogg’s program, mission, and culture. Update your knowledge about the current business landscape, and refresh your memory about the skills and qualities highlighted in your application.
  2. Practice Your Storytelling: Be prepared to answer behavioral questions and tell engaging stories about your experiences, achievements, and goals. Use the STAR method to structure your answers and convey your message clearly.
  3. Expect Questions About Your Motivations: Be ready to discuss why you want an MBA from Kellogg, what you hope to achieve, and how the program will help you reach your goals. Show enthusiasm, passion, and a willingness to take calculated risks.

  3. On-Campus Interviews: Some candidates might have the opportunity to interview with Kellogg representatives on-campus. Use this chance to showcase your personality, adaptability, and communication skills.

Hello All,

Noticed a Kellogg adcom member snooping around my linkedin & websites (have a couple of entrepreneurship projects on my profile) been over 24 hours but I haven't received an interview invite. Is this bad news or am I simply overthinking?

Further, would really appreciate a general profile review to help me understand my chances of getting an interview. (Other schools I've applied or am applying to in R1: Ross, Haas & Duke)

Profile Overview:

  1. Indian Male, Engineering Graduate – 7.13/10 GPA at a feeder private university (Most concerned about this aspect of my profile)
  2. GRE: 329 – 163V 166Q at the time of submission (Planning to retake next month)
  3. Work Experience: 2 years of leadership roles at a non-profit followed by 1.5 years (full-time) of running my own non-profit and another entrepreneurship project which scaled to >$150k in revenue (these are still running as side-projects), currently been working for 2.5 years as a Brand Manger (includes 1 promotion) at one of India's top start-ups in the for-profit impact space (can be considered a feeder)
  4. Extra Curricular & Other Activities: Started a new volunteering society during my undergrad, volunteered for 2 years at the non-profit during undergrad which I eventually took up full-time leadership roles in, went on a volunteering project abroad in Central Asia, served on the advisory board of a non-profit after graduating

Goals:

  1. Long term: Get back to entrepreneurship and build a tech platform with a strong angle on social impact, connects well with my current work and insights from running my own non-profit
  2. Short term: Product management to get more hands on experience in building tech products before working on building my own platform

Essays & Recommendations

I'd like to believe these are strong with clear DEI & impact stories.

Advice Needed

  1. I have an ex-colleague who's a current student at Kellogg, I worked with them closely and they're open to sending an endorsement – should I use this now or save it for later? (I've seen general advice around how this can be leveraged in waitlist situations)
  2. Apart from re-taking the GRE is there anything else that I can do to strengthen my chances of an acceptance?

Thank you for taking the time to read & review!

  1. Can I ask, if the applications are already submitted… what’s the point of a profile review? Like how does anything materially change at this point?
