HE’S CHARGED WITH D-W-I. ACCORDING TO THE PRELIMINARY REPORT FROM UAPD – TYSON WAS STOPPED ON GARLAND AVENUE AFTER HITTING THE CURB. TYSON DENIED DRINKING AT ALL AT FIRST, BUT LATER SAID HE DRANK 5 TO 7 BEERS WHEN ASKED AGAIN. AFTER FAILING A FIELD SOBRIETY TEST, HE WAS ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO THE WASHINGTON COUNTY JAIL. THE REPORT STATES, AT THE JAIL TYSON BLEW A POINT 1 9 1 – TWICE THE LEGAL LIMIT. DETENTION RECORDS SHOW TYSON WAS BOOKED JUST AFTER 1:30 THIS MORNING. HE’S BEEN RELEASED- – AND IS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN COURT ON JULY 15TH. TYSON PREVIOUSLY PLEADED GUILTY TO CRIMINAL TRESPASS AND PUBLIC INTOXICATION CHARGES RELATED TO A NOVEMBER 20-22 INCIDENT. John Tyson, CFO of Tyson Foods, was arrested again Thursday on charges of DWI and careless driving.After the arrest, Tyson Foods said he was suspended from that position. Booking information from the Washington County Detention Center shows Tyson was arrested at 1:32 Thursday morning and released nine hours later, at 10:41 a.m.A report from the University of Arkansas Police Department said he was stopped around 1 a.m. after police saw him speeding, make an improper turn, and drive off the road and on the curb and grass.Police said he smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. Tyson told police he’d drank five to seven beers. Tyson was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center. Tyson consented to a chemical test that showed a BAC of .191 at 1:57 a.m.He’s set to appear in court July 15.He’s facing charges of DWI, improper turn/ U-turn, and careless driving.
