“JOHN RANDAL TYSON” HAS BEEN áSUSPENDED FROM HIS POSITION AS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER OF TYSON FOODS. THE DECISION FOLLOWS HIS ARREST OVERNIGHT BY UNIVERSITY OF ARKANSAS POLICE. HE’S CHARGED WITH D-W-I. ACCORDING TO THE PRELIMINARY REPORT FROM UAPD – TYSON WAS STOPPED ON GARLAND AVENUE AFTER HITTING THE CURB. TYSON DENIED DRINKING AT ALL AT FIRST, BUT LATER SAID HE DRANK 5 TO 7 BEERS WHEN ASKED AGAIN. AFTER FAILING A FIELD SOBRIETY TEST, HE WAS ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO THE WASHINGTON COUNTY JAIL. THE REPORT STATES, AT THE JAIL TYSON BLEW A POINT 1 9 1 – TWICE THE LEGAL LIMIT. DETENTION RECORDS SHOW TYSON WAS BOOKED JUST AFTER 1:30 THIS MORNING. HE’S BEEN RELEASED- – AND IS SCHEDULED TO APPEAR IN COURT ON JULY 15TH. TYSON PREVIOUSLY PLEADED GUILTY TO CRIMINAL TRESPASS AND PUBLIC INTOXICATION CHARGES RELATED TO A NOVEMBER 20-22 INCIDENT. Booking information from the Washington County Detention Center shows Tyson was arrested at 1:32 Thursday morning and released nine hours later, at 10:41 a.m.A report from the University of Arkansas Police Department said he was stopped around 1 a.m. after police saw him speeding, make an improper turn, and drive off the road and on the curb and grass.Police said he smelled of alcohol and failed a field sobriety test. Tyson told police he’d drank five to seven beers. Tyson was arrested and taken to the Washington County Detention Center.
