The 2024 U.S. Open is set for an exciting conclusion as Bryson DeChambeau takes a three-stroke lead into the final round at Pinehurst No. 2. Carding six birdies on Saturday, the 2020 champion will aim to add a second national championship to his mantle with Matthieu Pavon, Patrick Cantlay and Rory McIlroy serving as his closest competitors.

DeChambeau’s second major would pull him alongside the likes of Walter Hagen, Lee Trevino, Brooks Koepka and Payne Stewart in terms of U.S. Open titles. A man who can also reach No. 2 as well is McIlroy, who is featured in the penultimate grouping alongside his Ryder Cup counterpart Cantlay. Rory, of course, is seeking to break a decade-long drought at the game’s biggest tournaments. Those two will aim to draft off one another’s momentum and make up ground on the big-hitting right hander.
