Video: Fourth of July showers possible this evening
THAT’S WHERE OUR DEW POINTS ARE. SO IT’S GOING TO FEEL NICE AND MUGGY, ESPECIALLY OVER THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS. FOR YOUR 4TH OF JULY WEEKEND, FOR YOUR FRIDAY, MAYBE A FEW EARLY MORNING SHOWERS. I THINK WE START TO DRY OUT AND OUR AFTERNOON HOURS A BETTER CHANCE FOR SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS COME SATURDAY, ESPECIALLY IN OUR EARLY MORNING HOURS. THEN WE DRY THINGS OUT ON SUNDAY, BUT IT’S STILL GOING TO BE HUMID WITH TEMPERATURES WELL INTO THE UPPER 80S LOWER 90S DEW POINTS IN THE UPPER 60S, LOWER 70S OUTDOORS, A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS AS WELL, ESPECIALLY OUT TOWARDS SOUTHBRIDGE ROLLING ITS WAY INTO OXFORD. WEBSTER. THAT’S GOING TO CONTINUE TO MARCH ITS WAY EAST. ELSEWHERE, JUST MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES. THAT’S BEEN THE STORY FOR TODAY, BUT WE DO HAVE THAT CHANCE FOR A HIT OR MISS SHOWER FOR TONIGHT, SO KEEP AN UMBRELLA WITH YOU JUST IN CASE. BUT I BELIEVE MOST, IF NOT ALL OF US STAY DRY NOW AS WE LOOK TOWARD OUR OVERNIGHT HOURS. YOU SEE THIS ENERGY JUST OFF TO OUR SOUTHWEST. THAT’S WHAT’S GOING TO ROLL ITS WAY IN AND POSSIBLY GIVE US SOME RAIN TO KICK OFF OUR EARLY FRIDAY MORNING OUTDOORS. RIGHT NOW, THOUGH, JUST A BIT ON THE MUGGY SIDE, 85 DEGREES. BUT FEELING MORE LIKE 88 DEGREES. A LIGHT WIND OUT OF THE WEST AT 12MPH. IF YOU REMEMBER, LAST YEAR WE DEALT WITH QUITE A BIT OF FOG FOR OUR FIREWORKS. THIS TIME AROUND. I BELIEVE THE FOG HOLDS OFF FOR THE MAJORITY OF THE EVENING, BUT AS WE GO INTO OUR OVERNIGHT HOURS, THAT’S WHEN FOG REALLY STARTS TO INCREASE. WE ARE LOOKING AT SCATTERED FOG, PATCHY FOG, I SHOULD SAY, TO KICK OFF OUR EARLY FRIDAY MORNING, SEVERAL LOCATIONS DOWN TO MAYBE A MILE OF VISIBILITY OR POSSIBLY EVEN THREE QUARTERS OF A MILE OF VISIBILITY ALONG WITH HIGH HUMIDITY REALLY PEAKING ON OUR SATURDAY. IT’S GOING TO FEEL NICE AND TROPICAL OUT THERE FOR YOUR SUNDAY HUMIDITY STARTS TO TAPER OFF EVER SO SLIGHTLY, BUT STILL GOING TO BE MUGGY FOR YOUR MONDAY TUESDAY, MAYBE BY THE TIME WE GET TO WEDNESDAY, WE’LL FINALLY START TO TAKE SOME OF THOSE DEW POINTS DOWN A SIGH. SO FOR TONIGHT, TEMPERATURES HOLDING STEADY IN THE 70S. MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES, BUT WE’RE NOT LOOKING AT WIDESPREAD SHOWERS, BUT WE CAN’T RULE OUT A HIT OR MISS SHOWER LIKE WE JUST SAW ON RADAR. SO LATER ON ON THIS EVENING, WE REALLY START TO THICKEN UP. SOME OF THAT CLOUD COVER, WORKING OUR WAY INTO TOMORROW MORNING. DEPENDING ON YOUR LOCATION, YOU MAY HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY OF WAKING UP TO SOME SHOWERS, MAYBE EVEN A RUMBLE OF THUNDER. BEST CHANCE ALONG AND SOUTH OF THE MASS PIKE. CONTINUING THROUGHOUT THE DAY. A MOSTLY DRY DAY, JUST A BIT OF A CLOUDY DAY SIMILAR TO WHAT WE JUST EXPERIENCED. SO MAYBE A FEW BREAKS OF SUNSHINE, BUT EXPECT MORE CLOUDS THAN SUNSHINE THEN HEADING INTO OUR EVENING HOURS ON FRIDAY ONCE AGAIN, WE START TO SEE THOSE CLOUDS REALLY WORK THEIR WAY. RIGHT BACK IN SATURDAY MORNING. IT’S GOING TO BE ON THE WET SIDE, SO TODAY YOU CAN EXPECT MOSTLY CLOUDY SKIES LINGERING THROUGHOUT OUR EVENING HOURS AND SOME EARLY MORNING FOG TO KICK OFF YOUR FRIDAY, ALONG WITH A FEW SHOWERS DRYING OUT BY OUR AFTERNOON HOURS. BUT IT STILL WILL BE A WARM DAY WITH TEMPERATURES IN THE UPPER 80S FOR SATURDAY. A BETTER CHANCE FOR A FEW SCATTERED SHOWERS AND STORMS. THEN DRYING THINGS OUT FOR OUR SUNDAY, MONDAY, TUESDAY.
