Breaking News: My Main Issues with Black Ops 6 Zombies So Far
By [Your Name], Updated: [Current Date]
The latest installment of the popular Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has finally dropped, and fans are eager to dive in and experience the thrill of survival and puzzle-solving. However, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows for me. After spending several hours with the new mode, I’ve identified some significant issues that need to be addressed. Warning: Spoilers Ahead!
1. Limited Storyline
One of the primary attractions of Zombies is its engaging storyline, which draws players in and keeps them invested. Unfortunately, Black Ops 6’s narrative feels rushed and lacks depth, with many unanswered questions and unfulfilled plot threads. The storyline relies heavily on fan service, but the connection to the original games is unclear.

2. Repetitive Maps
The new maps, such as Mauer der Toten and Desolation, while visually stunning, lack variety and excitement. The design is too similar to previous maps, with too much repetition in the environments and gameplay mechanics. The maps need more creative and innovative layouts to keep players engaged.

3. Lack of New Features
The latest installment of Zombies feels like more of the same, with little to no innovation in terms of gameplay mechanics. The new features, such as the "Scrap Mechanic" system, feel underwhelming and don’t significantly impact the gameplay experience. Fans of the series are craving new, exciting mechanics to keep the mode fresh and exciting.

4. Disappointing Easter Eggs
The Easter Eggs, a beloved feature in Zombies, are few and far between in Black Ops 6. The limited number of eggs and their lack of impact on the game’s storyline leave fans feeling disappointed and underwhelmed. More attention needs to be devoted to crafting memorable and meaningful Easter Eggs.

5. Lack of Customization Options
Players want to express themselves through customizations, but the options are severely limited in Black Ops 6 Zombies. The ability to personalize and individualize your Zombies experience is essential, and Activision needs to address this gap.

In conclusion, while Black Ops 6 Zombies has its moments of brilliance, the issues mentioned above hold the mode back from reaching its full potential. With a bit of polishing and innovation, the series could experience a resurgence in popularity. For now, fans are left feeling underwhelmed and waiting for the next major update.

Weapons kits returning instead of applying blueprints feature is disappointing: My main complaint comes from the fact that we lost the feature to test multiple weapon builds in one game. For example, take a weapon like the crossbow, which has four different ammo types. The apply blueprint feature would have allowed five different builds to be used in the same game.
Terrible UI: The font used for numbers is trash. The emote menu should have been a circle like all games that have an emote menu. I hate the way lethals and tacticals are displayed (3D images instead of icons like in CW). Looks cheap and is literally a copy and paste from MP.
Curious about the movement: Are the zombies gonna be buffed to hell to balance the game better since we can sprint at all times with omnidirectional movements? Are the zombies going to be on crack, lol?
No news about bonus modes: Gamemodes like Outbreak and Onslaught were fun to play and break the routine of RBZ. I kinda wish we got more info on new modes.
Manual armoring: Probably the least surprising feature to return since people on MWZ love playing up manually, but I think that it just slows down the gameplay for no reason. I would be more than happy with zombies hitting harder with armor auto-equipping like in CWZ.
Not enough stuff to grind: I'm sorry, but COD games (games generally nowadays) need long grinds to be enjoyed for a long time. What's revealed is not good enough. The four mastery camo system means that we will have the same system from MWZ with less grindy challenges overall (as opposed to longer grinds like in CW and VGZ). Other than that, they haven't announced any new grinds to the game, which is very, very disappointing to me. ;(
Lore: Stuff like the gobblegums is weird to me because 3arc changed the look of the GobbleGum machine but kept the same designs for the actual gums. Laziness perhaps? I hope it's explained lore-wise, at least.
Very little info about Liberty Falls: Too early to judge, or is it a weaker map compared to Terminus?
Game is too easy? The way 3arch seems to be talking about zombies makes me wonder how hard it's going to be. They keep yapping about accessibility and making things simple for casuals. I hope it's not as boring as CW, where I couldn't finish round 100 attempts more due to tiredness and boredom than challenge.

Zombies shouldn’t be a grind. You shouldn’t be able to unlock anything from playing zombies. It should be fun enough that you play it without a grind incentive.
Treyarch have said that both High Rounds & Main Easter Egg Quests in Black Ops 6 Zombies will be more difficult than they were in Black Ops Cold War Zombies.
