Gentlemen,
My attorney has informed me that my stbxw has been officially served. I want to acknowledge here, to anyone and to no one, that it is sometimes so easy to talk a tough game about living the good life, and all the fun on the other side, and no contact wins, and helping to build up others here with the "just do it" keyboard courage. but when it comes down to it, I'm really very sad and quite an emotional wreck receiving this news… realizing the end of a 20 year endeavour. Despite all the verbal abuse, long drawn out fights, and all the hell, pure hell… At this moment I'm weaping like a child, and I can't even bench press more than 100 lbs after 6 weeks! I'm not tough at all, and I never wanted to be, even if I talk a mean game. Thanks for all your support in getting me this far.

  1. Everyone has weak moments, days, weeks or sometimes months. We are human and grieving is part of the process. You can’t drive forward looking in the rear view mirror. The person you married is not the person you are divorcing. Remember that.

  2. You’re being honest and vulnerable. That is good. You have to let it out and process it. That is healthy. Divorce is a nightmare. I’m 1.5 years in. It comes in waves. I’m tough I got this/next minute I’m sad. Depression is thinking the sadness will never end. It will. I truly believe it will. It will get better. I’ve been divorced before and it’s a distant memory. Keep making steps in the right direction.

  3. My ex and I split up on this date 2 years ago. This journey has been complete hell. I don’t the current version of her back but I do miss the idea of her. I miss having a spouse and best friend. I’ve made a few friends since then that I go do stuff with but then I go home alone. I’m working a lot but I’ll never recover financially. Also, I don’t want to have to work a lot. I’m constantly either angry or sad. I don’t want this life. I want someone that has known me since I was a teenager to hang out and explore with.
