Hello

This is my first time posting on reddit and my English is not really good
But my story can be understood everywhere and by everyone, bc we all have exes, don't we ?
I'll do my best to explain it in English

My ex and I left each other abruptly
And that's okay bc a lot of things didn't go on the right way, our relationship was toxic
We were young, we were together almost 2 years, from 17 yo to 19 yo
She's my real first love and I had a lot of first experienced with her
I'm 23 yo today and I can see how deep this relationship affected me
We first dated and we were highscoolers and we broke up when we were young adult
I feel like this transition (from highschool to "becoming an adult) is very very crucial for your construction as a human
This is why this relationship is so important to me
It took place at one the most important part of my life
The beginning of my young adult life is for ever linked to her

I think I have the same amount of good and bad experiences from that relationship
And it was toxic at the end as I said

So the fact that we decided to not talk/see us again abruptly was really hard
Bc I'm 23 yo and I'm thinking about this relationship quite often
And I feel I would have so many things to say to her
He already talked since, 4 or 5 times (In almost 4 years)
But it's not enough

It's not that I miss her, It's just that we went from all to nothing and my brain can not process that

We don't leave near each other anymore, our social networks are both private
I just have her number
So If I want to talk or have some news, I have to send a message
But I don't feel SHE needs this as much as I need to
She cheated on me during on the relationship, she hurted me a lot
The rare conversation we had after our relationship were about that
1years or 2years ago, she texted me a reaaaaally long text where she excuses for her past behavior
We texted a lot after this during 2 or 3 days
I feel like, for her, she has moved on, since I gave her my pardon and we talked about this etc
Me, I didn't move on.
I feel like I have so much to tell her
She was a person with I really like to talk to, and I regret that we don't talk anymore
Since we broke up, my brain really can't process that we can't talk anymore since we were really close
Because I think she thinks that she did to many wrong things and she has to leave alone
And I agree, that was the right thing to do
But now that we resolved the cheating issue, that we talked about the things that went wrong during our relationship
Why can't we talk as friends ?
I think that she thinks that it is impossible, because we were to close and too many things went wrong to have normal conversations without high emotions

The thing when you talk about your ex online is to see that everyone has story like you and that your relationship was not SO unique aha

Have a good day/night, I don't really know why I posted this but it feels great to write the things you have in mind and stopping you from sleeping

Sorry for my mistake, I hope it is understandable, it's hard to chose the right word when it is not your language

  1. It had been many years that this happened, you need to learn to let go mate, she probably has other things going on in her life now. I know it’s hard but we have to do this. I have similar experience, but I know in the end we have to live for ourselves, not someone else. Take care, my friend.
