Air Force Service Member Faces Investigation for Attempting to Censor UAP Content from Reps Gaetz, Luna, and Burchett at Eglin AFB
Washington D.C. – In a shocking turn of events, a United States Air Force service member has been accused of attempting to block a group of lawmakers from accessing classified Unidentified Aerial Phenomenon (UAP) content at Eglin Air Force Base in Florida.
Representatives Matt Gaetz (R-FL), Bryan Luna (D-NM), and Estes Burchett (R-TN) were scheduled to visit Eglin AFB on Tuesday to inspect the base’s UAP research and investigation facilities. However, according to sources, a service member working at the base attempted to prevent them from accessing the classified information.
Details of the Incident
According to eyewitnesses, the service member, who has not been named, allegedly tried to confiscate the lawmakers’ security clearances and prevent them from entering the restricted areas where the UAP content was stored. The lawmakers were reportedly furious and demanded an explanation for the service member’s actions.
"We were shocked and outraged by the service member’s behavior," said Representative Gaetz. "As elected officials, we have a right to access classified information to conduct our duties. This kind of obstructionism is unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
Investigation Launched
The Air Force has launched an investigation into the incident, and the service member is facing disciplinary action. The incident has sparked widespread outrage and concern about the potential impact on national security.
Background on UAP Research at Eglin AFB
Eglin AFB is one of the primary research centers for UAP investigation in the United States. The base is home to the 53rd Wing, which is responsible for conducting UAP research and investigation. The base has been at the forefront of UAP research and has made significant breakthroughs in understanding the phenomenon.
Reactions from Lawmakers and Experts
"This incident highlights the need for greater transparency and accountability in UAP research," said Representative Luna. "We need to ensure that our service members are not being obstructed from doing their jobs and that our government is taking UAP research seriously."
"This is a clear case of bureaucratic obstructionism," said UAP expert and author, Luis Elizondo. "The Air Force needs to take immediate action to rectify this situation and ensure that our lawmakers have access to the information they need to make informed decisions."

At the 2023 UAP Hearing by the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability with David Grusch, David Fravor and Ryan Graves, congressman Matt Gaetz described how, several months prior, he along with congressional members Anna Paulina Luna and Tim Burchett traveled to Eglin Air Force Base in Valparaiso, FL in regard to a “protected disclosure” from pilots at Eglin who came to Gaetz’s office claiming that the Air Force was covering up UAP activity and that people that this may concern need to look into it.
While at Eglin, they asked to see any of the evidence that had been taken by the flight crew during this UAP endeavor and to observe any radar signature as well as to meet with the flight crew. Subsequently, they were not afforded access to all of the right crew, and initially, they were not afforded access to images or radar. After the congressional members and the base Commander had “a bit of a discussion about how authorities flow in the United States of America”, the congressional members were shown the image and were allowed to meet with a member of the flight crew who took the image. Thereafter, only Gaetz was allowed to view the radar sequence that showed “4 craft in a clear diamond formation”.
Gaetz never mentioned who initially blocked their access and also never mentioned their title. However, Anna Paulina Luna referenced that she was “men-in-blacked” by the base Commander. Ross Coulthart, on a YouTube podcast with Grant Lavac, mentioned that they were blocked by a Brigadier General.
Connecting some dots, Gaetz claims they went to Elgin “several months ago” from July 26th, 2023. Jeffrey T. Geraghty assumed command of the 96th Test Wing in June 2022. As far as I can tell, several months is less than more than a year, meaning that Geraghty was the one who initially blocked their access. Funny enough, Luna claims that he “took off on leave” in the middle of their meeting. Geraghty’s predecessor was Evan C. Dertien. Right after Dertien left command at Eglin, he was promoted as Director of Air, Space and Cyberspace Operations at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio and is now the Commander at the Air Force Test Center at Edwards AFB in California. Right after Geraghty left command at Eglin, even though he actively tried to block oversight from members of Congress, he was promoted as Director of the Air Force Security Assistance and Cooperation Directorate, Air Force Life Cycle Management Center; and Director of International Affairs, HQ Air Force Materiel Command at Wright-Patterson AFB in Ohio, where he is today.
Interestingly, Geraghty’s predecessor (Dertien) presided over the current commander’s (Mark A. Massaro) induction ceremony, which was attended by Gaetz.
It’s also interesting that no member of Congress ever mentioned Jeffrey T. Geraghty as the one who tried to block their access and cover up this UAP event.
Just thought you would want to know.
