Hi all,
We just got the great news my wife's I-485 was approved today, one day after the I-130 was approved. We feel blessed and fortunate our case moved pretty fast. We wish everyone a speedy approval and looking forward reading more good news from everyone on this board.
I just want to thank everyone on this board for all the support. I've been actively reading this board since we applied for my wife's green card back in April 2024. To see the support and how each one of us help out each other with questions and answers really touched my heart, we are so thankful to know we're not alone on this journey. I'll continue to be a member of this board and answer any questions. I know this is just the first step in the journey to become a US citizen.
Here are some examples of the evidence we uploaded that we feel really helped our case.
- Investments accounts showing both of our names: This could be a saving/brokerage account, CD, Bonds, etc (We were told by an immigration lawyer any investments showing both names will help your case)
- My wife's name as the beneficiary on my life insurance and retirement account
- Health and dental Insurance – showing my wife as a dependent on work insurance plan
- Joint bank account with both of our names
- Utility bills with both of our names
- Wedding pictures and most importantly pictures with family and friends
Best wishes
