Breaking News: Is Alain Delon Family Like a "Royal Family" for France?

Paris, France – September 17, 2022 – The legendary French actor Alain Delon, known for his iconic roles in films like "Léon: The Professional" and "Rocco and His Brothers," has sparked a buzz with the sheer grandeur of his family’s existence. With his luxurious lifestyle, numerous business ventures, and esteemed family connections, it’s hard not to draw comparisons with a "royal family."

Delon, 87, has built an illustrious career spanning over six decades, earning him a place as one of France’s most beloved and respected actors. However, it’s his personal life that has raised eyebrows among the public. His family’s extravagance and privileged lifestyle have led to comparisons with the French aristocracy, earning them the moniker of France’s "royal family."

Here are some reasons why:

Generational Wealth and Inheritance: Alain Delon comes from a well-off family. His father, Edmond Delon, was a cabinetmaker, and his mother, Édith Baghdadian, was an Armenian immigrant who ran a silk factory. Alain inherited his mother’s business, and today, it’s a thriving empire. This generational wealth has enabled the family to maintain a lavish lifestyle.

Expansive Properties: The Delon family owns an impressive array of luxurious properties worldwide. Their main residence is a grand mansion in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, France, valued at over €100 million. They also have a villa in Saint-Tropez, a ski chalet in Chamonix, and an apartment in Paris’ upscale 8th arrondissement.

Philanthropic Efforts: The Delons are also known for their philanthropic work, with Alain supporting various charities, including the "Les petits princes" organization, which aids children with terminal illnesses. His wife, Rosalie van Breemen, is also involved in various charitable causes.

Business Ventures: Alain Delon has expanded his entrepreneurial spirit by investing in various business ventures. His company, Société Éditoriale Delon, has launched several successful magazines and publications. He’s also a partner in a prestigious watchmaking company and owns a vineyard in the Loire Valley.

Connections to the French Elite: Delon’s social circle includes high-profile individuals from France’s aristocracy, business, and cultural elite. He’s been known to frequent exclusive events and gatherings with influential figures like the President of France, the Crown Prince of Monaco, and top industry moguls.

As Alain Delon continues to charm audiences with his captivating performances on and off the screen, it’s no surprise that his family has garnered the spotlight. While comparisons to royalty might be subjective, it’s undeniable that the Delon family’s extravagant lifestyle and esteemed connections have cemented their position as one of France’s most iconic and admired families.

  1. Only people older than 60 cared about him.

He was an arrogant prick whose only skill was refering to him using 3rd person (yeah for real) and being a gorgeous guy during the “new wave” of french cinema.

If you ask me, I think him dead makes the average french citizen slightly more intelligent.

  2. I don’t think we do “royalty” much here ..

Also, Delon is very overrated. He was very good looking, like drop-dead, drop-your-panties gorgeous, but I seriously cannot remember any role in which he displays *any* acting chops.

He shows up, looks good, and “fait la gueule”.

That’s it, he had a (admittedly) magnetic resting bitch face.

His son Anthony played in some films, but really nothing special. No dynasty there!
