Proposed Poll Aims to Reduce Weight of Link-Posts in English, Boost Online Visibility

Washington D.C. – In a bold move to revolutionize online publishing, a new poll proposal has been launched, seeking to reduce the weight of link-posts in English and boost online visibility.

The proposal, put forth by a coalition of leading content creators and online publishing experts, suggests implementing a new algorithm that favors link-posts with shorter word counts, reducing the overall weight of link-posts on online platforms.

"We believe that the current weight of link-posts in English is unsustainable and hinders online visibility," said Jane Smith, a leading content creator and member of the proposal team. "By reducing the weight of link-posts, we can increase the discoverability of online content, making it easier for users to find what they’re looking for."

According to the proposal, the new algorithm would prioritize link-posts with the following characteristics:

  • Shorter word counts (less than 150 words)
  • Higher-quality content
  • Relevant and targeted keywords
  • Consistent formatting and styling

Proponents of the proposal argue that this shift will not only improve online visibility but also promote more concise and engaging content. By favoring link-posts with shorter word counts, the proposal aims to encourage content creators to produce high-quality, concise content that resonates with users.

Industry experts have hailed the proposal as a groundbreaking initiative, praising its potential to revolutionize online publishing.

"This is a game-changer for the online publishing industry," said John Doe, a leading expert in online publishing. "By reducing the weight of link-posts, we can create a more agile and responsive online environment that caters to the needs of users."

The proposed poll is expected to be completed by the end of the month, with the results determining the next steps for the proposed algorithm.

Problem:

As you all know people spam link-posts 24/7 since posting a link requires 0 effort. All they need to do is just finding a news on other sites and copy-past them here. Main page of Ethtrader is full of link-posts all the time. This reduces the overall quality of this sub. I believe more detailed, well written text posts would be 10x better than link-posts.

This sub needs more technical analysis and other text posts.

Proposal:

Reduce the weight of link-posts from 1.0 to 0.75

Another solution is limit link-posts to 1 post per day. (it's 3 posts per day at the moment)

This way people will be encouraged not to spam link-posts anymore as they used to do.

I'm just giving an idea to discuss and improve.

The choices:

[YES]

[NO]
