Hi, so I (23F) am completely new to motorcycles and would love to learn more about them. After I get my license and practice for motorcycling, I want to look into a nice bike since I’ve moved to a new little town where I have to drive everywhere now. I really like the look of a sports bike, similar to ones I’ve seen on TikTok (like a Yamaha, Suzuki or Kawasaki?) But I also need something that’s more for my body (I’m 5’0”, and around 100lbs, so I’m really small lmao) and beginner friendly, somethings that’s pretty safe and comfortable with control. Not to mention I’m an artist and I’d love something that’d be good to customize. I’d love to hear any advice or suggestions you might have for me, thank you. ☺️

  1. for your height, weight and experience dont even think starting on a liter bike (hayabusa, r1, etc ) your safest bet are probably R3 since you are into sport bikes

  2. Try different bikes to see what kind you actually like more. I did my MSF on a VStar 250, so I went with a cruiser as my first bike. I was always curious about sportbikes, so I eventually got a GSX-8R. I still like cruisers for looks and comfort, but I have more fun on my 8R.

  3. None of these are suitable for a beginner.

Find a used motorcycle with minimal plastics that makes no more than 40 horsepower and weighs no more than 400 lb.

  4. Oh, absolutely, the first one from the left is perfect for beginners. A Hayabusa as your first bike? Genius. An excellent choice.

The learning curve is quite good with 200 hp under your beginner butt. It’ll definitely get you places – might not be the places where you’d stay alive, but my friend, you’ll get there fast af.
