Obviously no food is inherently unhealthy in moderation. But you hear of things that are known to be detrimental (especially in magazines and the news). Cheese for example, too much is unhealthy… so on etc.
Why is it when I eat cheese (I go through 2/3 month phases) in large amount, like half a bag of grated cheese a day, I lose weight. Also, still eating regular meals.
I genuinely went from about 60kg to 52kg whilst in this period, since I’ve been able to keep it off without any dieting. My cholesterol, bp everything like that is completely normal.
I also have IBS so not sure if that factors in. Just wondering if anyone else has had the same thing haha?
If you are lactose intolerant, then eating a lot of cheese (or other dairy) in a sitting can cause weight loss through extra bowel movements. Try cutting out dairy for a bit to see if symptoms go away.
It is because it is low carb and high fat. This is the basis of the ketogenic diet.
Basically if you just eat cheese on its own, you arent having carbohydrates clog up your cells, so the cheese fat gets used as energy. This trains your body to burn fat for energy, so when the cheese is run out it can then use your body fat more easily.
