Edit: if this is too long to read, the most important tip is last!
I'm on level 72 and coming to a realization that I'd found some bad advice. Unfortunately, it's too late for me to correct my mistake and won't make it in time, but if anyone else has a good amount of downtime, this was a decent money making game that is entirely possible.
First of all, the absolute best time to sign up was during a winning streak power up event. There has been two since I started, roughly two weeks apart. I'm not sure if this is a continuous occurrence, but it might be worth following their socials or downloading it on another device to monitor events to time the sign up, because I don't think I would have made the bonus level 56 in 10 days without it.
Second, don't play ahead. Every level will have a certain number of puzzles you need to win. That number gets higher and the boards get harder, so don't waste them.
Third, save as much as you can. Collect the daily box but do not open it until you get a quest to do so. The same with the daily trade bags. Save your mole hills, they seem unimportant but get important starting in the 70s. There's a list somewhere of the requirements to plan ahead, but I'd underestimated how difficult it was to replace them when I needed them.
Fourth, GRIND your birds/wildlife throughout the day of their fully energy whenever you can: Honey, wood, nectar, in that order of importance (at least until where I'm at).
For honey, get up to the stage that creates honey jars instead of honeycombs ASAP to conserve wildlife energy while getting max coins and honey bee eggs. You'll earn a decent amount of coins selling the crates that pop out, and merge up the coins to max. I just zoomed in tapped away until my board filled then booped a giant merge. For space reasons, I merged honey bee eggs and kept them all at level 1 until I needed to merge for wildlife score or a certain task. Honey bees were my biggest wildlife score contributor because you can endlessly collect the eggs as long as you have wildlife awake.
For wood, get your oak trees as high as possible. In the item description, the stage that starts at "a good source of wood" is the minimum you want to get to. Make an oak tree, harvest for while to build up wood merges, and set aside acorns you collect along the way to let them grow (merging gives you less to work with). Eventually you'll also get bushes (they merge up from grass) that will straight give you acorns and then even right to the first stage of the tree itself. Once you get your trees up, at least a couple, you'll start getting wood bundles of a higher stage that makes grinding wood so much faster.
The same for nectar, it's really important to get your flowers up as soon as possible. Plumerias in events are amazing for flowers because they pop out white and blue flowers. Give these Plumerias as much space as possible. Once I got a few of them, I only messed with yellow and lower flowers when it was part of a task. Once you get up to around stage 12 flower, I believe, it is much more manageable to merge to the highest nectar as needed.
Fifth, collect and merge stars – merge these to the second highest until you need eggs, and do not collect lower stars. The highest level spits out like 20+ swan eggs, also crucial to wildlife score, but they are HUGE, so keep them on the second to last stage until you're ready to collect them.
Bubble tasks – open chests to create bubbles. You get a ton of chests from harvesting wood, so don't worry about saving them up.
Wildlife score – conserve your wildlife merges. If you can do a bunch of lower merges and meet your goal, do that. Try to save level 5 and above for later levels when you need 1000+ wildlife score gains.
Save your mystery nests for tasks. You can get more by creating the highest level of certain items (highest pond, highest garden both give mystery nests, but I can't remember which gives which type).
Do not open creates with gems for tasks. Skipping the task with gems is almost, if not always, cheaper. Fountain tasks are cheaper to buy with gems than skip.
Which speaking of gems, conserve them. Don't be tempted to spend them willy nilly. You need them to skip some crate tasks, especially if you don't plan on buying anything for that part of the offer.
And finally, the MOST IMPORTANT, otherwise game ruinous information, is the darn garden supplies. I read that the best are "opulent supplies" because they contain so much they help in other areas – NO. Don't do it. I didn't realize the sheer number you need in later levels. I now do not have enough time in the offer to collect enough of them to progress to 100. Basically, never collect a finished crate if you are about to do a hard (purple) or super hard (red) level. Those crates will be extremely long and expensive to skip. Keep all 3 slots full of small ones, you want to get lucky with as many 3 hour ones as possible. Again, only collect them once you've verified the next puzzle is not a difficult one. Some of them will still be 8 hours give or take, but that's still 3 a day if you time it right. Seriously, not stocking up on these will prohibit you from hitting 100. I cannot stress doing this in early gameplay enough.
Someone please achieve this for me so I can live vicariously. Going through a rough time IRL, I could use the good news later.
