"Star Wars: Outlaws" – A Disappointing Effort from the Star Wars Universe?

A new Star Wars game, "Star Wars: Outlaws", has just been released, but early reviews are suggesting that it may be a case of "too much of a good thing". Developed by a relatively unknown team, "Star Wars: Outlaws" has all the makings of a classic Star Wars adventure – sprawling space battles, memorable characters, and a rich storyline – but it’s unclear whether it can deliver on its promise.

The game’s storyline follows a group of outlaws as they navigate the Star Wars galaxy, taking on various missions and battling against the evil Empire. The gameplay itself is said to be engaging, with a variety of planets to explore and a wide range of characters to interact with. However, some critics have expressed concerns about the game’s graphics, citing a lack of polish and a sometimes clunky control system.

"It’s like they’re trying to make a Star Wars game on a budget," said one critic. "The graphics are subpar and the controls are sometimes wonky. It’s like they’re trying to cut corners to get the game out the door."

Despite these concerns, fans of the Star Wars franchise are still excited to dive into the game and explore its rich universe. "I’m not sure what to expect, but I’m always up for a new Star Wars game," said one fan. "I’ll just have to play it and see for myself."

How is it possible that a studio like Ubisoft sells such a mediocre product like Outlaws?

Despite everything it was the most expensive in terms of marketing but the game is absolutely embarrassing, opinions from those who tried it? Stealth doesn't even work!

  1. i know this game will be a karma farm topic for days. like hey here’s my “Outlaws bad” post come upvote it.

but can you at least have a screenshot or whatever of your “looks like a game developed by amateurs”?

because i want to be that amateur who made a game that sells for an insanely high price.

do you even know what amateurs mean?

  2. Have you been watching the AAA industry for the last 10 years? This should have been the expected outcome from everyone. The least amount of work for the most amount of hype, the number of people who get a refund will be far outweighed by those that don’t.

  3. It’s a quasi open world Ubisoft game. I think pretty much anyone who has played one of those in the last decade knows pretty much exactly what to expect. That’ll be a rocky launch with pretty bad to meh optimization and too many bugs. Followed by most of those getting quashed but some still remaining. As always with such Ubisoft games I look forward to buying it in like six months to a year when there’s a massively discounted sale with all DLC released for $20-$40.

  4. Yeah bugs are expected for ubisoft but this one seems particularly rough even for them from some I’ve seen. Also for being a AAA game a lot of the animations, especially the facial animations and lip sync look very choppy and low budget.

  5. I know it’s horrible on pc and apparently ps5 has a bug regarding saves, but for the game itself it can look breathtaking and is huge as well. Gameplay might be a same-old Ubisoft loop, and it might not connect with you, but saying it’s made by amateurs is the dumbest take ever. You can judge management all you want, but to say it’s developed by amateurs….. That statement doesn’t even work with games like suicide squad or skull and bones from earlier this year.

  6. Lmao you’ve been in two different posts before this saying the game is somehow a scam and insulting someone for playing it hahaha

Man the “Ubisoft bad!” nonsense is just getting cringe lately, the games been fun lmao relax

  7. Whatever. I’m playing it and I’m enjoying it. The team that worked on it has done other games I’ve enjoyed in the past.

It’s entertaining and fun for me, and that’s exactly the point of video games. Anyone else’s opinion on it doesn’t matter to me because I’m having a good time.

This constant hate-fest that has taken over what seems like every aspect of society is getting old. How about rather than being negative about Outlaws, post about a game you really enjoy and why you would encourage others to play it.

  8. Bold of you to assume anyone cares about your unsolicited opinion.

Tons of people are having a good time playing this game, it’s selling well, and the graphics by all accounts are pretty damn good.

I’ve heard some complaints, but not about the graphics at all. Maybe play the game yourself instead of cherry picking shitty photos off of the internet.

  9. Yeah no. I have only been at it for 5 hours so far(damn you business trip) but this is a fantastic game and might become one of my favorite Star Wars games ever. I am running it on PC so I think it looks good on my TV and performance has been a non issue so far.

I know for sure that I will get downvoted for being positive about this game, but it is what it is. So stoked to get home tonight so I can continue my journey!

  10. Yeah you can just punch everybody when stealthing. When you get low on health they drop health. There are slight incentives to do distractions with alien dog. But nothing meaningful.

  11. I like open world games. I like both Division games. I like Star Wars a heck of a lot. Ubisoft make games that allow me to play in worlds I like and scenarios I like.

My parents are getting me this for my birthday (yes I’m 38 and my parents still buy me games for my birthday). I will slot it into my PS5 tonight when I get back from work.

I will play it and hopefully enjoy it. From the videos I’ve seen, it doesn’t look amateurish, it looks like the standard forget your brain and work through some mission game that Ubisoft have are known for.
