First time poster here. I loved State of Decay and State of Decay 2. Matter of fact, I still play both games. But was anyone else let down by the last trailer they released and lack of information? We got one trailer years ago that featured a huge map (or what I would assume) was a huge map, then nothing till this year. Where what we saw was mostly cinematic stuff. Now, I know it’s too early to say what SOD3 might be, or even when it’ll come out, but with GTA 6 coming out next year I figure any hopes of a 2025 release is out. I hope the games a resounding success, I’ll be the first to say that I was wrong, but with the lack of information, the bad news coming from the studio, and not having a release date/too close to GTA 6, I doubt we’re going to be playing this game next year, or maybe even 2026. I’ll probably be playing SOD2 for a couple months more before I finally just put it away and move onto the next game. Thanks

Well the Trailer was actually gameplay/ingame footage. Looks more like a good graphit update for SoD2.
Tbh nowadays I just don’t care anymore. If information comes out, I’m happy. If not, well then I just play other games. The gaming industry is currently a walking red flag imo, especially those studios with big publishers. I don’t want to say that UL will fuck SoD3 up but just want to say that it is the best in general to not expect anything from any studio so you can’t he let down when they mess it up but you can be happy when they make a good game.

Man, yeah, 2025 is gonna be such an empty year for gaming with every studio skipping the year because gta 6 exists. Gonna be weird for just 1 game to come out. Better bulk up those backlogs so you have something to play next year before gta 6 comes out. I wonder how many years it’s gonna be before other studios start releasing games again.
I’d rather they take 10 years to do the game right than rush it out. Quality takes time, let them cook.
