Would you like me to add anything else?

Hello everyone.

I have some interesting news for you that may ring a bell for some of you:

For the past few weeks, I have been conducting a deep analysis of my network traffic and various apps on my local device. My main focus has been on examining the incoming and outgoing connections from the apps on my device, and I can confirm that these apps, even though they run locally on your device, are sending out information from your app usage when connecting to the Internet.

For example, some of you may be using "Pinokio" for easy access to various applications to install them on your system. While these apps run locally without an internet connection, they start sending and receiving traffic from various domains. So what can you do to investigate this? Well, if you are not a complete geek and do not want to perform internet analysis, you can install "Portmaster" on your device. Portmaster provides a simpler way to examine your traffic and block various domains from which your apps are sending data. It is a security tool that strongly advocates for your personal privacy (Highly recommended). Alternatively, if you are interested in a more in-depth analysis of your traffic, you can install Wireshark alongside Portmaster. Wireshark offers a comprehensive view of your incoming and outgoing network traffic, which can then be blocked using Portmaster if you suspect any suspicious activity on your local device.

While I do not recommend using the "Block Connections" slider in Portmaster, you can select the app you are using and click on "Block Domain." Apps on your device require some form of local connections to interact with each other. For instance, Python is utilized by various apps on your device. If you were to "Block Connections" for Python, it would hinder the functioning of your apps as Python would be unable to run the necessary codes. I hope this explanation provides you with a better understanding. Enjoy privacy!

And yes, I know some of you might think, "well, they need this for update purposes, etc." While this is definitely correct, I am sure that your main focus would be to use these apps offline, and you do not want them to send out information about you as soon as you connect to the internet. And while they might want to receive updates, you don't really know what information they are exchanging about you in the end, right? Because, in the end, it is about money. How do they make money? Through advertising. If they know what you are into, for example, NSFW content, they may be selling that information about you, or even worse, sending small type of log files back and forth to do a deeper analysis on you. We do not know what type of information they have been sending back and forth because most data is encrypted when it gets sent through the internet. Just wanted to let yall know, stay informed!
