In a shocking revelation, it has come to light that many east countries have been plagued by deep-seated sexism, with women facing discrimination and inequality on a daily basis. Despite the efforts of human rights organizations and activists, the issue remains largely underreported and overlooked in the global conversation.
According to a recent report by the United Nations, many east countries have laws and cultural norms that perpetuate gender inequality, limiting women’s access to education, employment, and political participation. The report highlights the widespread practice of gender-based violence, including domestic abuse, sexual harassment, and forced marriage.
So, why does this issue remain hidden from the global spotlight? There are several reasons for this lack of attention:
- Lack of reporting: The media often fails to report on gender-based violence and discrimination in east countries, perpetuating a culture of silence and invisibility.
- Fear of reprisal: Women who speak out against sexism and gender-based violence often face backlash and reprisal from their communities, making it difficult for them to share their stories.
- Cultural norms: In some east countries, gender inequality is deeply ingrained in cultural norms and traditions, making it challenging to challenge and change these attitudes.
- Lack of data: There is often a lack of reliable data and statistics on gender-based violence and discrimination in east countries, making it difficult to track and address the issue.
The consequences of this silence are far-reaching. Women in these countries are often forced to live in fear, with limited access to education, employment, and healthcare. The lack of attention to this issue also perpetuates a culture of impunity, allowing perpetrators to go unpunished.
It is essential that we shed light on this hidden reality and demand action from governments, organizations, and individuals. We must create a culture of accountability and respect for women’s rights, and work towards a world where gender equality is a reality.

I'm from an east country but everytime i search about statics of this particular one (not rusia, ucrania, bulgarian or some well knowns) i don't find much info about it, every person that i know from it ( family and relatives) are born and tought like the old times, hosewifes that cleans, work, take care of children, make food , laundry.. etc while they say the man only has to work and nothing else. Seeing bad their daughters for no cleaning or just studying instead of doing house labour.
¿Why ?
I only just find just 1 activist , and some news about two girls being ignored by the police when they where kidnapped and more…
I keep hearing my family members having horrifying comments about woman…
¿Why I dont find anyone talking about this?
when people say that doesn't exist anymore and there's finally equality in genders, is that actually true?
