  1. NSW is just as bad. I got a nasty email from someone in the NSW Police and so I forwarded it to the Head of the Internal Investigations Unit.

He said that he would get to the bottom of it and have it investigated. The investigator “investigated” it by forwarding the whole email chain to to perpetrator, who was able to identify who complained (me). The perpetrator then came to my house and asked me why the f… did I dob him in.

  2. Should be charged with unreasonable use of force and permanently kicked out of the police force. This is disgusting behaviour from the police, the victims weren’t violent, they apologised, they took their move on direction. This was 100% police on a power trip. Low life thugs.

  3. Without condoning the officers conduct.

They look to have been called to a licenced premises where they were refused service and given an order to move on (and verbally abused.) If they continue to be rowdy, disruptive and/or do not comply with the order to move on they will arrest you for failure to comply.

But to also add, an officer is not allowed to seize your property (Phone) without a warrant, go through it, make you unlock or delete anything. Pretty messed up, I’d like to see the full footage

  4. Obviously more to this story and the reporting is inflammatory. “Tormented” by being gently tapped on the arm, “held for almost 20 minutes” when the timestamps are 15 minutes apart, and mention of the vascular restraint though it’s not depicted in the video? Pretty poor reporting.
