In a statement, Singh, the leader of the New Democratic Party (NDP), said, "It’s shameful that the government is trying to silence the voices of hardworking Canadians by imposing binding arbitration on rail workers. This is not the way to build a strong and fair economy."
Singh’s criticism comes after the Trudeau government introduced a bill to impose binding arbitration on rail workers, who have been on strike for over a month demanding better wages, benefits, and working conditions.
The strike, which has caused widespread disruptions to Canada’s supply chain and economy, has seen thousands of rail workers walk off the job in protest of the Canadian Railways’ refusal to negotiate with them.
Singh accused the government of ignoring the legitimate concerns of the workers and instead, using the arbitration process to dictate terms to them. "This is not about resolving the dispute, but about imposing the government’s will on the workers," he said.

The NDP stands with workers, while Trudeay gets ambushed and Poilievre hides.
Bring on those saying Singh doesn’t because he doesn’t end government today.
He could easily withdraw from the supply and confidence agreement without triggering an election. That would show the Liberals he actually means what he says. Anything else is just lip service.
