  1. *Two 16-year-old boys were arrested on Thursday, Sept. 5 on suspicion of setting off fireworks in Riverside that led to the* [*Hawarden fire* ](https://www.pressenterprise.com/2024/07/22/fireworks-possibly-caused-destructive-hawarden-fire-authorities-say/)*that burned nearly 600 acres, destroyed six homes and forced scores of families to flee.*

Always a worry to those who live in the country or near wooded areas. Sometimes fireworks go off here that make me dive for cover because they seem to explode two inches from my windows. But the bigger, more ongoing worry, is that these illegal fireworks will start a fire and burn down mine and my neighbors homes. (the fireworks caused in the Hawarden fire were totally illegal in all parts of CA)

  2. Sucks that you could ruin your the lives of so many people and your own whole life ahead of you cause you were a dumb teen who wanted to make stuff go boom.

Easy way to avoid this: don’t be an idiot with fireworks
