The Buffalo Bills have made a significant move in the NFL offseason, agreeing to terms with right tackle Spencer Brown on a 4-year contract extension, sources confirm. The new deal will keep Brown with the Bills through the 2027 season.
According to sources, the deal is worth a total of $56 million, with $22 million guaranteed. The extension comes after Brown’s impressive performance in his first season with the Bills, where he started 16 games and showed significant improvement as a run-blocker and pass-protector.
Brown, a 24-year-old lineman, was originally drafted by the Bills in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft. Since then, he has quickly become a key contributor on the team’s offensive line, earning praise from coaches and teammates alike.
This extension is a major win for the Bills, as it secures a vital piece of their roster and ensures continuity on the team’s offensive line. Brown’s development and performance will be crucial in helping the Bills compete with the best teams in the AFC East.
What This Means for the Buffalo Bills:
- The Bills secure a key piece of their roster, ensuring that their offensive line remains a strength.
- Brown’s contract extension provides stability and continuity on the team’s offense.
- The deal signals the Bills’ commitment to building a strong and durable offensive line.
Reaction from the NFL Community:
- "Spencer Brown is a crucial part of our offense, and we’re thrilled to have him locked up for the next four years," said Bills head coach Sean McDermott.
- "Spencer has shown significant growth and improvement over the past two seasons, and we’re excited to see him continue to develop," said Bills general manager Brandon Beane.

Finally
NGL I thought he was a total bum last offseason. Glad to be proven wrong.

Two of the biggest question marks going into last year were Spencer Brown and Terrell Bernard. Brown just picked up a (deserved) four year extension and Bernard put up all pro level numbers without Matt Milano next to him last season. Feels good man
Interested to see the details.
Last season was his third and he looked pretty decent, but his rookie/sophomore seasons were injury plagued and at *best* “inconsistent”.
If he plays more like last year and can stay healthy it’s a solid move IF the $ is “good but not market setting”. He’s a far better run blocker than pass blocker and has multiple question marks.
If they handed out a massive contract for what he’s been so far then hooooo boy that’s a gamble.
“Maybe we could let him walk and stay young and cheap at the position?”
*watches Roger Rosengarten*
“I should call Spencer.”
I remember when this dude was borderline unplayable. Cool to see this, he earned it
Let this be a reminder to everyone in any fanbase: don’t give up on your freak athlete young guys just because they aren’t great at first. Feel like so often people say “he’s raw, he’ll take some time” and then those same people are ready to cut him after one season of poor play lol
Thought he was a bum that we were idiots for rolling with for another year with no competition against him. Easily proved me wrong and from the bye onwards he was one of the best, if not *the* best offensive lineman on the roster
Bonus he’s a charismatic funny dude, he winds up in a lot of social media stuff the team does and he’s always a standout
[In honor of his new contract, here he is reminding Desmond King that he is short](https://x.com/TedGoldbergTV/status/1444774807170650116?s=19)
