Here's the latest News on the Queensgate Leisure extension⬇️⬇️

Like I am sure most of you are aware by now that Queensgate has found a new operator Cinema for the extension (as of May 2024) and this is now ODEON, Europe's largest Cinema operator which is owned by American Cinema giant AMC Theatres. We can expect our new ODEON Luxe Cinema to open at the beginning of November which will coincide with film releases like "Moana 2," "Mufasa: The Lion King," "Wicked," and "Gladiator II."

Queensgate management also mention that "ODEON Luxe at Queensgate will feature eight cutting-edge screens, including an IMAX screen. The cinema will also boast cutting-edge sound technology powered by Dolby atmos and the cinema will have more than 600 luxury seats as part of ODEON's investment in innovating its premium cinema experience. Look out for the Luxe seats, able to sit up to 4 people in one seat. Ideal for a family cinema trip".

Also as you can see with the image above, this is the latest artist impression of Queensgates £60million extension. Pictured above you can see the addition of highstreet giant Fraser's and it's luxury store Flannels, both of these stores with Sports Direct will gain access to the sight in May 2025 which means we are looking at a late Summer early Autumn opening for these three stores in the former John Lewis & Partners store, this is great news for the shopping centre and the City centre!

Lastly, Taco Bell has announced that they will be moving into Unit 59 & 59A opposite McDonald's in Queensgate, they will occupy two units formally occupied by Creative Touch and Vivacity Peterborough. Taco Bell will have a new exterior entrance which will be on Cathedral Square next to Bean Around [BEAR].

Announcements about other new retailers, resturant and leisure operators will be coming soon. Rumours are that the extension will see American fast food & resturant giants Popeyes and WingStop open near the new ODEON and next to Puttstars, maybe at somepoint this year or early next year.
Also, as mentioned other retailers are interested and are signing their leases soon, but what we know so far is that Beaverbrooks is moving into a larger unit, and that will have a new neighbour which will be Tag Heur. Both those stores will be opening this Autumn in the former Accessorize and Monsoon stores, also Sostrene Grene are looking at an October opening, this new store will open in the former Joules store near Schuh.
