I stopped reading Variety bc they have become very reactionary and pushing culture war articles but even if it is true I dont see Prime Video canceling the show and not finishing the story. Either way the audiences are going to win this.
Issue with this article is they measured episode 1’s debut and compared it on a scale to shows that premier with a 7 day run time ROP came out on a Thursday. Samba also has a smaller sample size of available devices to pull data from
Now I’m not shocked if the show isn’t the smash hit they want it to be. It’s uneven and most people don’t want to sit through the total slog of the Harfoots to get to the good stuff , which there is good stuff.
I’m just pointing out this specific article is basically click bait. The author, Eric Kain, has also basically had a bone to pick with the show from day 1 and isn’t operating as an objective journalist. Check out some of his other articles.
