Haaland’s Future in a Limbo as Manchester United Prepare to Table Fresh Transfer Offer
September 26, 2022 | Sports News | Manchester, England
Manchester United’s summer transfer target, Erling Haaland, seems to be headed for yet another twist. The prolific Norwegian striker’s future with Borussia Dortmund has become a hot topic, and now, Old Trafford-bound reports suggest the Red Devils are preparing a fresh bid to secure the 22-year-old sensation.
With rumors of an imminent player revolt at Manchester United casting a shadow over the season, the transfer market frenzy shows no signs of calming down. Manchester United officials have been scrambling to make significant signings this summer to strengthen their team, particularly after the loss of long-serving midfielder, Paul Pogba, to free agency.
However, after initially agreeing on a 63 million-euro move for Haaland, United’s negotiations seem to be stalling, with a number of stumbling blocks thrown into the transfer’s trajectory. Dortmund officials have always been keen on keeping hold of their top scorer and, as reports suggest, have been asking for upwards of 85 million euros for the Norway international’s services.
Will Manchester United table a higher bid? Could another contender swoop in to snap up Haaland? What does the future hold for the gifted goal-scorer who has already earned 7 caps for his national side? Stay tuned for updates on this tantalizing drama.

Hey all,
I've never posted on reddit before but I've found comfort and learned a lot from other people's posts so I hope that's the case here. I'm 33 and going through IVF – my husband is a cancer survivor and froze a supply many years ago. We just went through our first retrieval cycle. 12 eggs retrieved, 9 mature, 9 fertilized, 3 made it to day 5. I just got the news that only 1 embryo was determined transferrable after the PGT testing. To say I'm a little rattled would be an understatement. I feel like our doctor way over-inflated our confidence going into the process (because we are young and otherwise healthy), saying that we would probably get all the embryos we needed for our family planning out of one cycle. So we were certainly surprised to only get one out of the process.
But anyway, the reason I'm here: we meet with our doctor in a few days to discuss the results of this cycle and next steps. I want to go into the meeting having anticipated and thought about next steps, so I'm not on the spot. I imagine we could move forward with a transfer of our one embryo and hope for the best. But I also imagine doing another cycle is on the table.
Like everyone, I'm anxious to get pregnant and it's tempting to want to just charge forward. But, I also know that I have the momentum to do another cycle. It could mean having more embryos in the event of failed transfer(s), and for our future children. Additionally, right now we have really good benefits that are covering much of the treatment; realistically I don't know how long that will be the case. Has anyone else found themselves making this decision and, if so, how did you decide?
