OKLAHOMA ELECTION UPDATE: OKLAHOMA GOVERNOR DEBATE
Oklahoma City, OK – The highly anticipated Oklahoma Governor debate has finally come to a close, and the results are in! The two top contenders, Governor Kevin Stitt and challenger Joy Hofmeister, faced off in a lively discussion on key issues affecting the Sooner State.
STITT TAKES THE WIN
In a surprising turn of events, incumbent Governor Kevin Stitt emerged as the clear winner of the debate. The Republican candidate showcased his experience and vision for Oklahoma’s future, impressing many in the audience and watching millions across the state.
Hofmeister, the Democratic challenger, failed to land a decisive blow, and her attempts to paint Stitt as an out-of-touch politician fell flat. The debate saw both candidates trade barbs on topics such as education, healthcare, and economic development, but Stitt’s convincing arguments and impressive performance secured the win.
KEY MOMENTS
- Education: Stitt emphasized his commitment to expanding vocational training programs and increasing funding for public schools, while Hofmeister focused on her experience as a former State Superintendent and promised to restore trust in Oklahoma’s education system.
- Healthcare: Hofmeister criticized Stitt’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, accusing him of prioritizing politics over public health. Stitt countered by highlighting his administration’s efforts to improve healthcare access and affordability.
- Economic Development: Both candidates pledged to attract new businesses and create jobs in Oklahoma, but Stitt’s promise to reduce taxes and streamline regulations resonated with many voters.
REACTION FROM THE CAMPAIGNS
Stitt’s campaign celebrated the win, stating, "Tonight, Oklahomans saw firsthand why Kevin Stitt is the right leader for our state. He has a proven track record of getting things done, and we’re confident that voters will choose experience and vision over partisan rhetoric."
Hofmeister’s campaign, however, remained optimistic, saying, "We knew this was going to be a tough fight, but we’re proud of Joy’s performance and the message she brought to Oklahoma voters. We’ll continue to work hard to make sure every Oklahoman has a voice in this election."
NEXT STEPS
With the debate now behind us, attention turns to the November 8th election. Will Stitt’s winning performance carry him to victory, or will Hofmeister’s determination and grassroots support propel her to the governor’s mansion? Stay tuned for further updates as this critical election season unfolds!

Kamala owned the debate. She remained poised and Presidential. Trump was flustered, angry, and full of lies.
Kamala Harris offered more substance, showed more of the character of a public servant, and displayed a stronger grasp of reality. It’s clear that she is the better option.
