In a couple of weeks I will be starting chemo even though the main cancer hasn't yet been identified.
I am a 58 year old woman. July 2, I went to the ER with what I thought was a hiatal hernia acting up.
Initial visit very quickly led to ultrasound, then 2 contrast CT scans, and a liver biopsy.
Met with oncologist at BC Cancer Center last Friday, wasn't given good news at all. Apparently the cancer is acting very aggressively, so in 2 weeks I will start chemo.
Mind is a muddled mess right now. I am so incredibly grateful for having a partner who has my back through it all.
There is also complicated family stress on top of my cancer diagnosis.
I am still struggling to come to terms with this, it seems to have happened so quickly, now I keep having to increase pain meds weekly, have completely lost my appetite, I don't want to interact with anyone except my husband.
This process sucks.
