Breaking News: Major Update to NASA’s Mars Rover Mission Unveiled
Washington D.C. – NASA has announced a major update to its Mars Rover mission, which is set to launch in the coming weeks. The update comes just days after NASA’s latest Mars rover, Perseverance, successfully landed on the Red Planet.
According to sources within NASA, the update will involve a significant redesign of the rover’s propulsion system, which will allow it to travel farther and faster than previously thought possible. This is a major breakthrough in the field of space exploration, and is expected to have significant implications for our understanding of the Martian environment.
The new propulsion system is designed to be more efficient and reliable than previous systems, and will allow the rover to travel at speeds of up to 100 meters per second (around 200 miles per hour). This will enable the rover to cover significantly more ground than previously possible, and will allow it to conduct more extensive surveys of the Martian surface.
The update comes as part of a major overhaul of NASA’s Mars Rover mission, which is designed to explore the Martian surface in greater detail than ever before. The mission is part of a broader effort by NASA to better understand the Martian environment and to search for signs of life on the Red Planet.

So yesterday after work my obgyn office finally called me back (I had called them again on Monday and left a message). Since it was after hours, the nurse told me to go ahead and go to the emergency room to be safe. At the emergency room they gave me an ultrasound where the baby was wiggling like crazy with a heart rate of 161bpm and measuring in a week ahead of the original due date. It was a huge relief to actually see the baby and see the heartbeat and the legs kicking all over. They found no subchorionic hemorrhage, and no abnormalities detected. The ultrasound tech said something about it being old blood from (something that sounded like endometriosis but wasn’t that), and didn’t sound concerned.
Of course, despite her reassurance, the doctor at this place is I think the most “The world is ending!” person I’ve ever met. He came in before the scan and told me I “NEEDED” to be tested “IMMEDIATELY” for Rh incompatibility. He made it sound like if I didn’t get it done within 24 hours, me and baby would die. That’s how dramatic he was. Mind you, my obgyn has run my blood work and all they said was “everything looks great!” And also, I’m only about 10-11 weeks along. If I had the Rh incompatibility, I wouldn’t be getting anything until I was 28 weeks along.
They also took three vials of my blood, but didn’t tell me what for, just to call today for results. Today I called and asked if they had my test results ready, and I’m told a nurse will call me shortly. The nurse calls me back, and seems to have no idea what I’m talking about when I say that I had three vials of blood drawn and sent for testing. So I still can’t figure out what happened there, and they don’t have any clue either because this nurse wasn’t on shift last night. They of course also tested my hCG levels, so the nurse told me that. I’m at I believe 75,983mIU/ml, which is perfectly in the range it’s supposed to be for 9-12 weeks of pregnancy, however she says “which puts you at 5-6 weeks pregnant.” Now, I’m obviously not a doctor, but I can read. Everything I’ve read online, every chart and pregnancy website, says that puts me at 9-12 weeks, not 5-6. So I tell her that. She says “well that’s not what the labs said” and I tell her that’s fine, but it’s incorrect and they should do a better job.
Now here’s where I need advice: Is this place just a hot mess? Are they that bad at their jobs that they attempted to misinform me multiple times about my pregnancy, or am I stupid? It was so frustrating having the male doctor come in occasionally just to say something terrifying when every single test came back perfectly fine (other than my missing blood work) and now to have the nurse call me and give me completely incorrect information…I’m just at a loss. They also wouldn’t much listen when I explained to them that it wasn’t heavy bleeding or fresh blood, it was a tiny amount of old blood only apparent when I wiped. They seemed to want it to be the worst news. For legal reasons I’m sure the doctor had to cover his bases, but he kept coming in calling it a threatened miscarriage with so much drama in his voice that it was infuriating.
