Was diagnosed with t2 10years ago. Did wonderfully well for the Last nine years with Just pooping pills. A1 started in 10.xx lowered it to 6.1.
All went to a shit show when i left my deskjob for travel around the world job. For the Last year or so i have been stationed in rural parts of the globe where it was damn near i possible to get the pills i need so ill get it next week turned into next months into A year.
I had massive swellings on my right ball and was medevac back to South Korea (thats home for me).
Went straight to the ER. Found out necrosis set inside my ball sack. Doctors opened my nuts up and scrapedout all the dead tissues and warned me if the skin doesnt recover might to have to graph it on from my ass or legs. They gave me 20% chance of recovery since Necrosis was hella strong. Every three days i went under full anestheticto scrap off any New dead tissues and this went on for a month.my nut sack was basically an open kitchen during this time. Last monday they told me its starting to heal and they can sew and staple my sack closed.
I am now back home still resting docs said will need another month before i can gain full mobility and remove the stitch and staples.
Mean while they put me on insulin temporarilly atleast until my sack heals up. I got a cgm and started to monitor everything i eat while healing up counting calorie i take of Carb, fat, protein.
I am trying a hybrid high fat, protein with low Carb diet at the moment. Its only been a few days but it seems to be working as intended.
Hope to bring some good news back in three months.
Moral of the story Just cuz you feel okay doesnt mean you actually are without your meds. Dont be stupid like me and keep your meds on!
My current A1 was 13.x at the time of admission into the ER.
