I have been on a whole food plant based diet and unfortunately my a1c went from 5.4 to 6.0. The good news is my cholesterol lowered and total is 177 ldl 94 but unfortunately my triglyerides are dangerously high at 400. After some investigation other women in the WFPB groups I am in also reported trigs around 400 following the high whole "complex" carbohydrate diet. I was eating about 30g fat per day. Sometimes 20g.
I am stopping the diet but I want to keep my good cholesterol numbers. What would you eat to immediately lower your trigs without doing high fat keto?
Just lean meat and lots of vegetables? Id like to retest in two weeks so I want to do something drastic.

1- reduce saturated fat but not polyunsaturated or monounsaturated
2- reduce or eliminate added sugar
3- increase exercise

Hey! Whole Foods plant based should be close to 0 fat. Definitely check out Essyltarian diets. Love their cookbooks. You cannot have anything processed, 0 oil, no avocado etc.
