Arsonists Ram Car into Store Amidst Melbourne Tobacco Wars
Melbourne, Australia – In a shocking incident, arsonists have targeted a convenience store in Melbourne’s north, ramming a car into the building amidst the ongoing tobacco wars.
According to eyewitnesses, the incident occurred at around 1:30 am on Wednesday morning, when a silver sedan crashed into the store on Sydney Road in Brunswick.
"It was like a movie, I couldn’t believe what I was seeing," said a witness, who wished to remain anonymous. "The car just came out of nowhere and smashed into the store. I heard a loud crash and then saw flames coming out of the building."
The store, which sells tobacco products, has been at the center of a heated dispute between rival gangs in the area. In recent weeks, there have been reports of violent incidents and vandalism targeting the store and its owners.
"It’s like a war zone out here," said a local resident, who did not want to be named. "We’re scared to leave our homes at night because of the gangs and the violence. This is just the latest example of how out of control things have gotten."
The fire department responded quickly to the incident, and the flames were extinguished within minutes. However, the store sustained significant damage and is expected to be closed for an extended period
