Last Tuesday (Sept 10) there was a shooting right near Mississauga Rd and Doulton Drive. I haven't heard much talk about it and couldn't find a single post on it from this subreddit. I also cant find much media follow-up about it (just a few news reports from that morning outlining the shooting had occurred- https://torontosun.com/news/local-news/female-in-life-threatening-condition-after-shooting-peel-cops)
Does anyone know what happened? Was it a targeted shooting or a random event? And anyone have any follow up on whether the victim was able to recover ? Hope she is ok. Scary to see this happen more and more in Mississauga.
Originally I thought she was shot by someone in the same car as her, unless that was a different news story?
This is based off my opinion alone but if it happened at 4am, with her driving a sick ass car, I am going to assume robbery/car theft gone wrong.
Hopefully she fully recovers.
The only update I saw on the news last night was a suspect car. Really strange how they haven’t said what happened.

I hardly see any media followup for any Mississauga event, so seeing little else does not surprise me.
This whole story makes no sense whatsoever. They have changed the shooting location from Doulton Drive to Highriver Court, somebody gets shot in the head and they don’t remember where it happened? Also why drive almost two kilometres away with a gun shot, most people would call 911 right away. There is a lot more to the story than what is being released by the media.
