Hello! My name is Claria, I am an 18 year old animator that has done some very small freelancing as an 2nd Key Animator. A lot of people are extremely negative about the anime and are doom-posting and I wanted to give my opinion and why I am casually optimistic about the anime adaptation.
The first point I want to make is that the series director is one if, if not the most important part of a successful anime adaption. They gather talent, freelancers and get to decide the overall feel of a series. The Sakamato Days Series director we got, in my personal opinion is solid in my opinion. He is a very new director, but he seems very passionate towards the sakamato days anime, which isn’t something you see people in the anime industry be often. From what we have seen so far, the feel of the series so far from the trailers also seems very good!
The second point I wanted to make is that the production for the sakamato days anime is extremely healthy. This is something that most animes now and days that release can’t say anymore and is an extreme win for us. I also wanted to mention that we haven’t heard anything negative about sakamato days from leakers. Like at all. Some very popular leakers have come out and told people news about sakamato days but none of it has been negative.
If you don’t know what to expect, I’d except the animation quality of solo leveling but slightly worse, but the art and ascetic will be better. Instead of doomposting, in my opinion it’s better to cheer on the staff and director. I guarantee for most people the anime adaption we get will be serviceable.

I don’t think at the very least it will be as bad as some people think.
“Expect he animation quality of solo leveling but slightly worse” considering the animation quality for solo leveling and it’s fight scenes thats pretty good imo
i’ve mentioned it before but i’ll mention it again, people just have their expectations too high. high animation quality at this point is just something people expect to see with everything that comes out nowadays, especially with series like demon slayer and JJK seeming to put this thought into people’s minds that every single episode of a series has to have absolute top tier animation otherwise it’s mediocre
serviceable animation is what i’m expecting and that’s by no means bad, and i think the character designs and compositing will make up for it a lot. ultimately sakamoto is really popular and people want the best for it (which i get) but the animators and directors seem to be really determined to make a good quality production with the resources they have so i’ll maintain my faith in them. and again serviceable animation is always better than just straight up bad animation
All I want is an anime that tries to capture what makes the manga so good, which in my opinion is the choreography. Suzuki has a really creative way of drawing motion that I want to see done justice. I don’t need insane visuals nor anything flashy.
