BRUTAL SURVEY FINDS SHOCKING TRUTH ABOUT YOUTUBE CHANNEL DWELLERS

In a staggering revelation that has left the YouTube community reeling, a new survey has shed light on the alarming fact that only a tiny fraction of people care about the millions of channels on the platform.

The survey, conducted by online analytics firm TubeMogul, analyzed data from over 1 million YouTube channels and discovered that an astonishing 93% of channels have less than 1,000 subscribers.

But what’s even more shocking is that only a mere 1.2% of YouTube channels have more than 100,000 subscribers.

"We were blown away by the findings," said Emma Lee, lead researcher at TubeMogul. "Despite the vast numbers of people who use YouTube, the majority of channels are largely ignored by the public. It’s a sobering reminder of just how niche and fragmented the YouTube community really is."

The survey also revealed that:

  • 71% of YouTube channels have less than 100 views per month
  • 57% of channels have not been uploaded to in over 30 days
  • 30% of channels have no subscribers at all

This brutal reality has left many YouTubers scrambling to rethink their strategies, wondering if their passion project is worth the time and effort.

So, who are the winners in this game of numbers? A select few with massive resources, production quality, and marketing muscle are dominating the charts, leaving the vast majority of creators struggling to get noticed.

"It’s a David and Goliath battle," said Maria Rodriguez, a struggling YouTuber with 150 subscribers. "We may have the content, the passion, and the drive, but it seems like the algorithms are rigged against us. We’re like tiny fish swimming in an ocean of irrelevant content."

As the search for success on YouTube becomes increasingly dire, creators are forced to adapt to an ever-changing landscape, trying to grab the attention of a discerning audience in a world where attention span is dwindling by the second.

Will the channel dwellers find a way to shine through the noise, or will they remain forever in the shadows, unnoticed and unloved? Only time will tell.

  1. Being brutally honest

I have little to no empathy

If I do it’s for about 3 seconds before immediately switching to the next story or reel or whatever it may be.

I’m just so desensitised to all of it with the years and years of terrorist attacks and gore videos and everything else.

I’m just not that interested and I know it’s fucking terrible that I feel that way about humans losing their lives but I’m just so indifferent.

  2. I have zero empathy. They have all crossed several safe countries to then board another shit boat over here.

I am more concerned about what a influx of low / no skilled people will have on the country.

  3. Not particularly as I don’t have any connections to the countries they’re coming from. I feel more of a kingship to subcultures and countries I’ve been to and connected with. This extends to all people, I feel more kinship with a metalhead from the Netherlands than I do with a banker in London.

Also I think empathy is completely separate from national policy. That should be based on strategic aims not media sensation.

  4. Nope, not at all. These people are perfectly safe in France but choose to travel over dangerous waters in order to get some money in the UK. I only feel bad for the children dragged along by their dumb parents because clearly, their child’s life isn’t worth more than a few quid in the UK.
