Eyewitnesses describe the Man Who Returned from Hell’s army as a seemingly endless horde of tea-sipping samurai, each one fueled by a seemingly bottomless supply of green tea. Resources

Step by Step Guide

  1. Do Main Quests
  2. Do Free Quests
  3. Buy Event CE from the shop and equip it
  • Welcoming a Journey CE increases drops by 1 (2 when MLB) of Green, Yellow, and Red Tea Leaves
  • Increases Quick and Buster card effectiveness by 8% (MLB: 10%) and Increases NP gain by 5% (MLB: 8%) and starts battle with 30% NP gauge (MLB: 50%)
  1. Brew Tea to get points
  2. Finish the points ladder

FAQ

  • You get 100 points per 1 tea leave that you spend in Tea Brewing. For example: exchanging 30 green and 30 yellow is 60 leaves total so 6000 points.
  • The event story is point-locked so you will have to brew tea to advance it.
  • Prioritize buying the event CE ASAP so that you can start brewing tea/making mats.
  • The pools are weighted: 40% the weighted mat, 15% of every other mat. For example: brewing "Sweet Tea" will have a 40% chance to get a Fang and a 15% chance each for the other mats.
  • If you have too many tea leaves of one type then you can exchange it for another color at a 4:1 ratio. For example: if you primarily want fangs, you will only be using green and yellow. You can convert your excess red leaves in the shop.

Should I Use Apples?

  • If your account has done less than 250 lotto boxes minimum across its account history, you should not apple this event. Instead, save apples for Morganfest in November.
  • Realistically, that number should be closer to 500 to truly be comfortable.
  • If you care about coins for grail casting, you should be appling lotto regardless of the number of boxes you've done. Lottos are the best way to get FP (besides farming X-A with FP CEs during 2x FP campaigns).
  • Otherwise, if you need the mats from this event, it is justifiable to apple it if it has the mats you need.
  • Alternatively, if you have too many apples that you can't use all of them during lotto, you can apple this event. For example, if you have 300 gapples and you're only planning on doing 200 boxes (200 gapples) during lotto, you can apple this event.
  • 6S 90+ = 5S 90++ for tea leaves. 90+ is a lot easier, 90++ is faster (2 waves) and gives more bond. 90+ gives Reverse Scales/Bullets, 90++ gives Mirrors/Ashes.
  • This image shows a drop amount of each type of leaves for 90+ and 90++ nodes.
  • At 120 tea leaves per run, you can do approximately 4-6 tea brewings depending on the recipe you choose. The first group is about 25 APD per conversion, the second about 40-45, and the third about 100 (mainly because it's gold mats).
  • You can consult this doc for a calculator to see APD on the event.

Various Fight Tips

  • Sixth Cup-1: Kill 10 enemies to end the fight.
  • Ninth Cup: Use a foreigner or just level up and use Iyo. Example vid using a scuffed welfare MIXA.
  • Extra 1: Use AOE to kill the ads, then attack with swapping servant cards to strip guts multiple times per turn. Can also use DOT to tick an extra guts.
  • Extra 5: Don't attack with quick cards. It'll randomly seal Buster or Arts for 3 turns at the start of the fight. Just reset if it's the wrong color.
  • Extra 6: Defeat the enemy with 316,830 HP.
  • Final Quest: First break bar she gets 3 hits invuln. Second break bar she removes all buffs from you, all debuffs from her, and gives 3 times 1k HP guts to herself. Just use a foreigner, ideally Van Gogh.
  • 90+: 1/2/3 lancer setup. Wave 1 is only 40k HP, low enough to card down. Other two waves just use an AOE saber. Every relevant AOE saber has a starbomb to help crit down wave 1.
  • 90++: 1/2 moon cancer setup. Only 2 waves: the main consideration for 2Ting is speed. You can still 3T it because buffs dont fall off until after turn 3. Most people will use some combation of Iyo + a ST servant like Ruler Da Vinci or Kintoki. BB is also man-attribute so Morgan is a popular choice, though 1M HP can be hard to smash through. Consult the 90++ doc for examples, look at comps in Chadlea App, or Youtube the node for ideas.
  • Remember that if you're just spending natural AP regen on this event you can just facecard with Iyo/other rulers.

Challenge Quest

  • Gamepress guide: Will be added later!

Overview:

  • First HP bar: Hitting Iyo will give her Lucky stacks. Once she reaches 7 stacks, she summons a tree. When she summons enough trees, she loses her passive buffs for 1 turn.
  • Second HP bar: She steals your defensive buffs when she hits you and steals your offensive buffs when you hit her.
  • Noteworthy mechanics: She takes little damage until she summons enough trees, then the trees die and she can take damage. The trees don't actually attack. On the second health bar, she steals buffs as you hit her and she hits her.

Strategy:

  • Facecard her, then buff once the trees die. Kill her quickly on the 2nd health bar, the longer you take the harder it'll get. Bring a ST avenger/berserker, otherwise bring an extra class due to ruler class advantage.
  • If you're strong enough, you can just brute force the first bar through her defenses. If you're doing this, you need defense ignore (75% defense).

Happy farming for tea leaves and savoring their tastes (ie. mats and more mats)!
