What’s to be Done?

Researchers and linguists call upon social media platforms to actively address this issue, enforcing stricter guidelines and user training to combat linguistic tensions, while encouraging respectful language diversity and inclusive online discussions.

Phone was broken and was in Service Center for last 7 days, so I had no access to Reddit or X. Almost all the time was spent in Home with my kid and with Lord Ganpati.

In this time, I went out with my Wife and Kid, Cycled around a lot. Went out a lot , so had to spend Cash, I am not a native Kannadiga, but this is my Karma Bhumi now. Anyhow coming back , I bought many things, from street vendors, to expensive stores. I talked to them in my (Broken) Kannada which i have fathomed over the last few years, and they replied back in Kannada/Hindi.

Anyhow coming back, On SM its all about language vs language. But I stay here, i dont face this. Quiet a possibility that I am not much on the ground talking to people, but still from my experience I dont see the language war waging. I see students asking if its all cool here, i see it on the news, i see it on SM. But i dont see it with me.

Why do we need to amplify things? I can manage , People do manage, but why are people abusing Bengaluru? Man, this place gave me my love, my kid, my company everything. Why do you need to look down on it? I am in 30's, I give respect I get respect. I cant learn 100% of Kannada , as much as i would wish to. But I will try to learn so much that i can get my basics done. My kid, on the other hand, will grow up knowing it, and maybe he’ll even teach his old man.

Anyhow, the point is for those who are asking is it safe? The answer is Astounding Yes. You love Bengaluru, and it will love you 10X More.
