Taiwan has accused the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) of illegally entering Taiwan’s territorial waters around Kinmen County, with four Chinese Coast Guard ships spotted in the area.

According to reports, the four ships entered the waters around Kinmen at around 9:30 am local time on March 10, sparking concerns about the growing aggression from China.

This incident comes just days after the Taiwanese government announced the approval of a new law aimed at strengthening the country’s defense capabilities against the growing threat from China.

Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) has condemned the actions of the Chinese Coast Guard, stating that the entry of the ships into Taiwan’s territorial waters is a "serious violation" of international law.

"We urge the Chinese side to immediately withdraw its ships and refrain from any further provocations," said a spokesperson for the MND.

The Taiwanese government has also warned of the potential consequences of China’s actions, stating that any further aggression could lead to a deterioration of cross-strait relations.

"This incident is a serious escalation of China’s military provocations against Taiwan," said a government spokesperson. "We will not stand idly by and will take all necessary measures to defend our sovereignty and national security."

The incident has also sparked concerns among local residents, with many calling for increased vigilance and support for the Taiwanese military.

"We will not tolerate any further aggression from China," said a local resident. "We stand in solidarity with our military and will do everything in our power to defend our country."
