While I could just dismiss them as one-off cases, what has angered me the most is the treatment of Hemmer. I understand killing someone off from an artistic standpoint, but why it had to be a blind person? It's like they won social justice points on the internet and killed him off when it was convenient.
Bruce Horak did say in an interview that he will "be back" in season 2- and while I had theories that he would play Sybok, he just ended up being a cameo??
And now we have no news on Horak coming back. I keep feeling that Paramount Plus is playing with us.
I fear SNW is not disability friendly.

I’m not sure I get where you’re coming from. So a “disability-friendly” show would not allow bad things to happen to its disabled characters?
I recently saw Bruce Horak speak on a panel. He said that even when he was first auditioning for the part, he already knew the character’s arc. It was not a surprise to him, and if it hadn’t felt sufficient to develop Hemmer’s character, he could’ve declined the part. He said there’s always more to say, of course, but he went into it with his eyes open (pun intended).
Are you implying that vegetarians are disabled? Is this some roundabout way of making a joke?
Spock was made of for being half human in school, nothing to do with autism and what does him eating bacon have to do with being disability friendly?
