Breaking News: Ukraine Bans Telegram Use on State-Issued Devices
Kiev, Ukraine – In a move aimed at increasing cybersecurity and reducing the spread of disinformation, the Ukrainian government has announced a ban on the use of Telegram, a popular messaging app, on all state-issued devices.
According to the decree, all government agencies, ministries, and institutions are prohibited from using Telegram for official communications starting from March 15th, 2023. Instead, they will be required to use approved communication channels, such as Viber, WhatsApp, or government-issued email accounts.
