Woman Arrested For Drugs and Unauthorized Use Of A Credit Card

A 32-year-old woman was arrested yesterday evening by the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) for allegedly possessing drugs and unauthorized use of a credit card.

According to police reports, the suspect, identified as Sarah Johnson, was taken into custody at approximately 9:45 PM near the intersection of 5th Street and Main Street in downtown Los Angeles.

Johnson is accused of possessing a controlled substance, specifically a quantity of methamphetamine, and using a stolen credit card to make multiple purchases at various businesses in the area.

LAPD officers responded to a call regarding a suspicious individual attempting to make a large purchase at a local retail store. Upon arrival, they found Johnson attempting to leave the store with a bag of merchandise and a credit card that did not belong to her.

The officers conducted a search of Johnson’s person and found the controlled substance in her possession. She was taken into custody and transported to the LAPD’s Central Division for booking.

Johnson is currently being held at the Los Angeles County Jail on charges of possession of a controlled substance and credit card fraud. Her bail has been set at $50,000.
