香川県の小豆島は、オリーブの生産で有名です。小豆島オリーブ公園には、2000本のオリーブの木があります。

 

 

17日、ふつうより早くできる「マンザニロ」というオリーブの実を取り始めました。公園の人など10人ぐらいが高い台に乗って、実に傷がないかを見ながら1つずつ丁寧に取っていました。来月までに2tぐらい取って、塩に漬けて売る予定です。
見に来た人は「1つ1つ実をとっているのがすばらしいと思いました。これからも続けてほしいです」と話していました。
公園の人は「今年とれる量はいつもの年と同じぐらいか、すこし少ないぐらいだと思います。小豆島に来たときは遊びに来てください」と話していました。
