Personally I thought it was fine. Sony not completely abandoning PSVR2 was nice, and i’ll have to bust it out for The Midnight Walk. Hell is Us looks really unique too. Horizon upgrade is $10 so while no one was asking for it, not bad. Ghost of Yotei is obviously the star of the show, looks awesome. I will say that Sony is continuing to do a horrible job selling the Pro. I was expecting to see PS5 footage of GoY vs Pro, but that didn’t happen. Also looks like Spidey 2 DLC isn’t happening with the one year anniversary next month and still no news.

  1. For a State of Play, it was pretty damn good imo. Obviously finishing with a major 1st party reveal goes a long way towards that, but there were a few other things throughout that also interested me.

Ghost of Yotei looks incredible, it’s a badly needed major 1st party reveal that people were waiting on, and it puts a nice look on the 2025 schedule for PS now along with DS2, before anything else even potentially gets announced. Definitely looks like the kind of game that will make full use of the Pro, so that may be what ultimately puts me over the edge to get one.

  2. Glad to see they’re not completely abandoning PSVR2. Unless these were the rumored final 2 Sony funded games in development lmao.

I just feel Call of the Mountain was such a missed opportunity. They couldve had their own MUST PLAY vr game like Valve did with Half Life Alyx. They couldve made a short Uncharted or Last of Us game. But they started off with a dud.

  3. It was alright, I wasn’t expecting anything massive other than the new Ghost, which was kinda expected when you consider the last one came out 4-5 years ago, so the timeline tracks and I am glad I stayed up to watch it with friends on Discord.

If it was anything bigger, they would have called it a PlayStation Showcase anyway.

  4. Yotei looks awesome, can’t wait! Love the Shamisen on her back, guessing music will play a bigger role? Or maybe it will just be a small but beautiful thing like the flute from Tsushima.

Wish they gave more details on the 30th anniversary editions coming out.

  5. It was horrible, just one game worth it, it would be nice if Sony could do a show with 3-4 high caliber announcements in it.

Astro bot was fun, everything else except the new ghost we knew about.

    That veilguard trailer was painful.
