The city of Everett has recently installed an interactive art sculpture by Timothy C. Flood, entitled **“Affirmation Station.”**
The sculpture looks like a regular pedestrian walk signal, but a button on the sign’s post invites the viewer to press it, which activates audio of affirmations, like “Hey, you’re doing a great job – keep it up” or a little humor, like “That tickles.”

Atop the approximately 10-foot cast aluminum sculpture, instead of your traditional walk signs are lit boxes containing text affirmations, “YOU ARE STRONG,” and “YOU ARE IMPORTANT.”
