The day is celebrated on September 24th every year to raise awareness about the importance of sign languages and the need for their inclusion in education, healthcare, and other aspects of life.

Sign languages are not just a means of communication for the deaf and hard of hearing community but also a vital part of their identity and culture.

The day’s theme, "Sign Languages for Inclusion," emphasizes the importance of sign languages in promoting social inclusion and equality.

Events and activities are being organized around the world to celebrate the day, including workshops, conferences, and cultural performances.

"The International Day of Sign Languages is a significant step towards recognizing the importance of sign languages and promoting inclusion and equality for the deaf and hard of hearing community," said WFD President, James Fernandes.

Razor: Henson AL13++;

Blade: Personna Platinum;

Soap: Southern Witchcraft's Desairology;

AoS brush, Timeless bowl, Proraso alum block, Thayer's Original, Konadu AS

I've heard that experience is what you get when you don't get what you want. This is the first shave of week 3 since I switched from Harry's to a DE razor. For this shave I removed the AoS pre-shave oil which I suspected was gumming up the blade and got the closest shave I can remember in my 40+ years of shaving. That's the good news.

The bad news is that I nearly took off my head. 6 slices or weepers. This is really the first bloodshed since I left cartridges behind and I'm pretty shocked. I aim to quit the oil for good (messy, hard to clean, facial residue) so I ordered a PAA block and am going to try that, but mostly I think it's a technique issue. Looking forward to hearing the voice of experience from this community.
