I had a brown-out yesterday and, for probably the 6th or 7th time, OrcaSlicer completely reset to a fresh install. Losing the hours and hours of configuration and testing. I even have it set to sync everything with my Bambu account. But every time it does this, it is unable to pull anything from Bambu.
It just takes me to the intro screen that can't be escaped or skipped.
The good news is that after this happened the first 5 or so times, I learned to be diligent and keep backups.
The bad news is that it can't import them. It says "make sure you import the associated printer". Which would be good advice, if it wasn't telling it to me as I was trying to import the printer.
I've tried uninstalling and wiping the folders, then after an initial run, force-deleting any existing configs anywhere in the AppData folder and replacing them with the backups. It just ignores the existing files even if they are the only files available.
I'll need to stop because honestly I could go on a huge rant with this. It is such a massive inconvenience. Crashing is fine. Losing data is tolerable. Not being able to import backups when this sort of data loss happens regularly is rather unacceptable.
