Kinda disappointed with how the DLC comes out. Not really fully unhappy but I expected many things especially for the end. I’m not complaining like we could get a different story here, no. I just wished we could at least have gotten some more out of it.
If we’re talking about a little change is the story, maybe when Havik is merging the timeline something unexpected happened, it’s Liu Kang, but it’s the one from the season 8 the Dark Dragon. I just said so because it kinda makes sense to shift to a bigger antagonist that really focus on maintaining the survival of the timelines.
When he appears everyone is shocked and he kills Havik for trying to merge timelines and bring “khaos” to all. Then he give some big speech about how the timelines should be in order and those that disagree should die, our Liu Kang and friends realizes that this Liu Kang is bad news and start to fight him, hence the name Khaos and Order.
If you feel like im wrong here then it’s okay but tell me which makes more sense to you. A super being killed by another super being or killed by it’s own inferior creation? Maybe yes but still, ripping off Havik’s limbs? He literally did that to multiply himself 5 minutes before and you tell me Noob Saibot could do it and it doesn’t happen? Maybe if he send him to his shadow portal yes but just ripping off his limbs truly seems kinda lazy to me.
Lastly, if the story won’t change at all at least end it properly and patch some holes in the plot for all of us. Empress Tanya and Lt Johnny Cage timeline, the dragon, Bi-han’s redemption, Lin Kuei redemption by discovering the truth about their grandmaster, Sektor’s redemption with madam Bo scolding her, all of the characters returning to Kuai Liang and Harumi’s wedding, and they all gather to take some pics then Scorpion subtly calls for a man or maybe a teenager who’s beside Smoke to be with them “Come here Hanzo”, and then cuts to Johnny Cage hanging the picture on his wall with voices in background and they are chatting happily, Kung Lao, Raiden, Liu Kang, Kenshi. The end.
